“And He said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.”(Genesis 4:10).
This season, Babylon Zoo brings you Inquisition Symphony unveiling the atrocious beast- – the lingering entity of hatred. For ages since Cain mercilessly murdered his brother, this intense hostility gas chambered thousands in the Holocaust, bayoneted children and pregnant women inNankingand devised torture contraptions during the Inquisition spilling innocent blood on the ground.
As the vicious cycle continues, artists Tyago Almario, CJ Tañedo, and Ramel Villas vividly captures the reality of the cataclysmic tendencies of man in their paintings, showing inhumane auto da fe (acts of faith) and devices that shatter bones, reduces flesh into pulp while agonizingly squeezing out blood and life from the tortured.
