Quebral’s Analog and Manual Travel Machines is a collection of artworks that scrutinizes contemporary interpretation of travel and relaxation. The artist loves to adopt colors that vibrate and catch the attention of viewers who love good vibes and happy emotions. He grew up in the region of Ilocos, in a rural town that he still calls home. His work is inspired by his fascination of moving cabs, promo and delivery vehicles, local commuters and travelers. During his travels to the South, these fascinations of his make him eager to portray it through paintings.
The artist presents the viewers with comical images of his surroundings and favorite destinations. Depicted in his works are images of palm trees, travel machines, cars, outdated gadgets and sceneries. These, according to the artist, are symbols of comfort, mobility, and domestic life. Quebral loves to fulfill his art through pastel colors, comical figures and quirky images. He presents his work through visual stories of his travels, his passion and his love for social connections.
