Stillness in Chaos
Wesley Valenzuela
The day the world stood still
Things taken for granted were never the same
Grounded within the confines of your abode
Safe, yet unnerved of the thought of a future unknown
The days are long, and the nights silent and bleak
Wide awake, dreaming of mourning and death
Burned out from exhaustion, buried in despair
The memories won’t fade but will linger forever
Know by heart the day the world stood still
And the bloodied hand that reigned through deceit and fear
Let there be no peace and stillness within our hearts
Until death knocks upon the door of the bringer of this chaos
