Time and Tide are Two different words but may mean and express relatively the same mood, thinking, feelings and emotions in certain situations. Time conveys the continued progress of existence & events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole, a non-spatial continuum that is measured in terms of life events. On the other hand, Tide exemplifies a noticeable change and a powerful surge of feelings in a situation in a particular type of behavior and time.

For this show, Brave M. Singh’s works will revolve around different landscapes at distinct times of the day which expresses several acts of meaning. Moreover, it’s how these certain landscapes influence our daily emotions, moods, and feelings and even affect our decision-making.

There are days when it’s rainy and gloomy and energy is static and feeling down. When it’s the time the tide turned low yet struggling little waves waiting for their turn to rise again as executed to dark to light shades of landscapes just like the break of dawn and early mornings which strongly suggest new beginnings.

As the saying goes when the tide reached its lowest point then it’s time for it to rise again. When we witness the sunrise or a bright sunny day we feel happy, It’s the time when life’s successes are celebrated and elated feelings are depicted on bright, vibrant shades and daytime landscapes.

“Needless to say calmness of the sea and the serenity of the river brings a soothing relaxation at the moment hoping that it will remain the same over the coming days. This scenery influences the flow of thought and state of my being.”

But not all the time is perfect weather. Sometimes we experience raging sun and skies which further heightened our unpredictable anger.

At the end of the day, when twilight comes as the sun sets, it’s the time to reflect on the things we have done. A moment that will bring back and reminisce the past and recollect good memories. A phase where we take a break from the long day as the tide starts to go low to start a new cycle. Nighttime brings peace of mind as executed in his works with light to dark tone hues landscapes.

In collective, his painting in this show is more on landscapes  which somehow express the cycle of time and tide. It also shows the connection between the kind of the day equated with the corresponding moods, decisions, emotions, and feelings. These landscape and sceneries speak out of our true self felt at certain periods of time and at unpredictable waves of the tide.
