Richard Quebral’s works exhibit the everyday life in the rural area where his home is located. His show presents a landscape scenery of nature collaborating with comical imagery of modes of transportation. Consistency of artworks is presented through the use of colorful palette, vintage-inspired images of early computers games and comical images.
Quebral carries his life in the province to the metro. This year’s show entitled: “In Between Fields and Rivers” represent the artist’s perspective about freedom of doing things he loves while he hustles on with his work and his personal matters. He continues to create mixed-media pieces characterized by bright pastel colors, grids, and unexpected textures. While his art is often deeply personal, it’s communicated in a way that’s humorous and engaging. It often depicts homey—albeit strange—settings inhabited by characters based on real people he interacts with.
